Tucked inside a mid-19th century post and beam barn in Berwick, Maine is Howarth Hill Small Batch Pottery, the studio of ceramicist Lindsey Howarth.
Working with white stoneware clay, Lindsey creates functional pottery that focuses on clean lines and classic forms. She balances the raw texture of the stoneware with high gloss celadon-like glazes that fade into subtle shades of opaque, creamy white. Each of her hand thrown pieces is both utilitarian and beautiful, bringing a sense of intention, permanency and enjoyment to the day to day.
