The big dot throw by Auntie Oti is made from khadi wool that has been washed after dyeing, giving it a soft drape and broken in feel.  This oversized piece can worn as a wrap or used as a cozy throw.

Auntie Oti started in 2011 as a showcase for the non-designed. With a mission to spotlight everyday Indian items, they featured common goods such as towels, napkins, blankets, and shawls, all made from khadi, a fabric made from hand-spun yarn by craftspeople in small, government-sponsored weaving groups across the country.

 

The collection has since grown to include items designed by Auntie Oti using skills and techniques specific to India such as tie-dye, block printing and indigo dyeing and incorporating them into simple accessories, bedding, and clothing. Aspiring to be uniform-like in a uncomplicated, functional, and comfortable way, the clothing line includes timeless, non-seasonal styles all made from khadi cotton.
